New York, N.Y., April 8, 1997 -- As part of its ongoing co-branding efforts, TMP Worldwide's (NASDAQ: TMPW)  The Monster Board, (http://www.monster.com ) today announced an alliance with NBC Interactive Neighborhood (NBC-IN). The Monster Board, the Internet's premier career center, will be the exclusive career site featured on NBC-IN, providing visitors with job listings, resume-building and posting capabilities and career advice.
NBC-IN is the new local interactive service designed to provide NBC television stations with premier content packages for their communities. It will feature a wide variety of localized consumer information ranging from arts and leisure events to employment, home and automobile listings. NBC will offer NBC-IN to its owned and operated stations and 215 affiliates.

Through The Monster Board, visitors to participating NBC stations' Web sites will be able to perform job searches by location, discipline and keywords that describe the opportunity desired. Career-seekers can then browse results that best match their criteria, and apply instantly with an online resume to the jobs of interest.
The partnership represents a perfect fit for TMP's The Monster Board, reinforcing its position as the Internet's premier career center. "The NBC alliance provides TMP with the perfect venue to extend the reach of The Monster Board - not only with the current Internet population, but among the still-enormous 'off-line' population as well," said McKelvey.
For TMP, the NBC relationship is the latest in a growing list of co-branding efforts. Other strategic alliances with The Monster Board include Ziff Davis, Advertising Age, Gartner Group, Cahners Publishing, Industry.net and The Computer Museum. In addition, The Monster Board has entered into alliances with companies supplying leading recruitment software systems, including Restrac, Resumix and NetStart.
