Co-Branded Site on Monster Features Strategies to Keep Retirement Savings Working
BOSTON and MAYNARD, Mass., Jun 11, 2002 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Fidelity Investments(R) and Monster(R) today announced a strategic alliance to bring Fidelity's retirement savings education to Monster users. The 16.3 million monthly unique visitors to Monster will have access to Fidelity's online educational tools and information to help them manage their retirement savings during job transitions and throughout their careers.
Monster and Fidelity will create a co-branded site, accessible directly from the Monster homepage, featuring exclusive educational content from Fidelity to help users evaluate their options for managing their 401(k), 403(b) or 457 workplace retirement plan savings through a job transition. In addition, the micro site will contain links to information on Fidelity.com detailing the benefits of consolidating workplace savings and step-by-step assistance for transferring assets to a Rollover IRA.
"The more than one in five Americans who typically change jobs each year(1) face a common dilemma of what to do with their workplace retirement savings plan assets when they make the transition," said Tracey Esherick, executive vice president, Fidelity Investments. "Finding and adjusting to a new job is difficult enough without having to worry about interrupting a long-term retirement savings strategy. By bringing Fidelity's retirement savings experience and options the Monster site, we're providing education to help make the transition a little less stressful for millions of American workers."
"Monster is pleased to join forces with Fidelity to offer services that help workers with their career and retirement savings decisions," said Steve Pogorzelski, president, Monster, North America. "Americans have turned to Fidelity for help in managing their retirement savings for decades, so it makes sense for Fidelity to provide the information workers need to keep their retirement savings on track when they turn to Monster for guidance through the twists and turns of their careers."
