(NASDAQ: MNST), today announced the appointment of Mark Stoever as Senior Vice President and General Manager, Consumer Business. Mr. Stoever, who recently served as President and Chief Executive Officer of global Internet content and service provider Lycos, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Terra Lycos, Inc., joins Monster with nearly 20 years of experience in product and brand management.
In this newly created position, Mr. Stoever will be responsible for the general management, as well as continued development and growth of several Monster properties including Monster Consumer, Military Advantage, Tickle and Monster Campus (FastWeb, Making it Count, MonsterTRAK).

Before his time at Terra Lycos, Mr. Stoever was a product manager at ON Technology Corp. and before that was with Microcom, Inc. Mr. Stoever is a graduate of Boston's Wentworth Institute of Technology and the recipient of a Masters in Business Administration from Boston University.
