Monster Brings Innovation To The Brazilian
São Paulo, August 18th – Monster, the global leader in online recruitment, is launching a new version of its website for Brazil. Integrated with the global database, only Monster.com.br allows candidates and companies to search for opportunities and talent in over 50 countries.
Founded in 1994, Monster was the world’s first website focused on recruiting people. Today it holds more than 61 million active résumés, making it the biggest database of the class. What’s more, 200 thousand clients publish their job openings through the website, in America, Europe, Asia and Oceania.
The Brazilian economy shows accelerated growth and companies are already facing a labor shortage (a survey published in May of 2010 by the Dom Cabral Foundation indicates that 67% of Brazilian companies have encountered difficulties in hiring, despite high unemployment rates in the country), establishing a real need for Monster.com.br to more effectively match talent and opportunities.
“Our international experience, expressed through a local team of highly qualified professionals and combined with the most cutting-edge technologies available, allow us to really address the need the talent gap in this market”, states Rob Brouwer, the company’s senior vice-president for Latin America and Developing Markets. “At the same time, we provide a differentiated career management experience for candidates seeking to improve their lives by taking advantage of their professional potential.”
Career Management
Free of charge for job seekers, Monster.com.br gives all registered users the possibility of customizing their home page, adding widgets (updated job opening icons, tips and search history, among others) that will give them a personalized experience to find, in a quick and practical way, the right match.
Candidates can also use filters to set his/her minimum requirements to be interested in an opening, such as the distance from home or type of position sought. The candidate can also choose when to be informed about opportunities that match his/her requirements. The notices are sent by e-mail, at the frequency defined by the candidate, or they can be available on a personal Monster home page.
It is even possible to save interesting opportunities on the page and access a career advice for all stages of life. Among these is the Careers and Jobs blog, which publishes daily information ranging from ‘how to draw up a résumé’ to ‘how to plan a promotion’.
To make use of all the features of the new Monster.com.br, Brazilian professionals that had already registered on the former version of the website will only need to update their profile, as their résumés remain in the company's database.
Recruitment and Talent Management
Joining state-of-the-art technology with the most modern Human Resources practices, Monster.com.br enables an accurate résumé search, optimizing the work of recruitment teams, saving time and cutting costs.
These services are accessible to companies that purchase packages for announcing job openings or for résumé searches. In either case, the client is granted free access to a series of back office tools that enable efficient management of the recruitment process. The filters for candidate selection are one of the main “weapons” that the website offers to recruiters.
Determining criteria like level of education, experience, mobility and others, companies begin receiving feedback about potential candidates where the first information provided is the degree to which they do or do not match the requested profile. This lets companies automatically disregard those that aren't suited to the position and concentrate the process on candidates that really meet the demands.
Companies also have tools like quality control, an optional questionnaire that – elaborated by the recruiter – can be linked to the job ad. In other words, in addition to a résumé, the person interested in being a candidate will need to answer some questions, facilitating the selection process.
Automatic response letters, reports and analyses are also available to recruitment teams. Furthermore, the Recruiter’s Channel provides tips on how to better use the website’s features and articles about the best practices in talent management.
