U.S. Office of Personnel Management Awards Monster Government Solutions Contract for Federal Government's Online Job Sites; OPM Estimates Contract to Continue Management and Enhancement of Job Sites to Be Worth up to $27 Million

MCLEAN, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 2, 2005--Monster Government Solutions, a subsidiary of Monster Worldwide (NASDAQ:MNST), announced today that the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) has awarded the company a contract for the management of the Federal Government's online job sites. The contract includes four one-year renewal options worth up to $27 million over the next five years.

Under the contract, Monster Government Solutions will continue to manage and enhance USAJOBS, the Federal Government's official site for jobs and employment information, and STUDENTJOBS, the Government's site for student jobs, in order to help OPM attract top talent to careers in public service. Since Monster Government Solutions began managing USAJOBS in 2003, the site has attracted more than 141 million visitors and more than 1 million resumes have been submitted online for jobs within the Federal Government.

"Monster Government Solutions is helping OPM fundamentally change the way people apply for Federal jobs," said Chris McCarrick, SVP and General Manager of Monster Government Solutions. "We look forward to continuing to work side-by-side with OPM to deliver online innovations that will help draw individuals to careers with the government."

Monster Government Solutions has advanced USAJOBS by developing a resume builder optimized for Federal hiring, a new vacancy announcement format to better present job information, and integration between the site and automated hiring systems used by federal agencies. These enhancements have helped drive customer satisfaction for USAJOBS to a record high according to the American Consumer Satisfaction Index. Earlier this year, USAJOBS also received an award from the American Council for Technology for demonstrating commitment to progress through technology.
