Sept 23, 1997: TMP Worldwide's Online Career Center Selects Netgravity's Adserver Software

Internet's First Career Site Introduces Targeted Advertising Program

New York, N.Y., September 23, 1997 -- TMP Worldwide's (Nasdaq: TMPW) Online Career Center (OCC) (http://www.occ.com), the first career site on the Internet, announced today that it has signed an agreement with NetGravity (http://www.netgravity.com), the market leader in online advertising management software. Through the use of NetGravity's AdServer software, OCC is offering its clients a series of services known as Targeted Advertising Program (TAP).

OCC's TAP, a first in the online recruitment industry, will enable OCC's clients to more effectively target their online advertisements and Web pages and be able to accurately track and audit all responses to their online advertisements. And, as a result of OCC's recent partnership with MedSearch (http://www.medsearch.com), the Internet's first recruitment site dedicated solely to healthcare professionals, TAP services will also be offered to its clients.

"Online Career Center's Targeted Advertising Program takes recruiting to a new level on the Internet,'' said Bill Warren, OCC's president. "As the first career Web site to feature NetGravity's AdServer software, we can now offer our clients the most effective method of targeting their messages to the key audiences they need to reach.''

Through TAP, clients advertising with OCC and MedSearch will be able to take advantage of several new features, including: keyword advertising, through which employers can ``purchase'' keywords and have their advertising banner appear when these keywords are used by job seekers; college- and country-specific recruiting, through which companies can target specific college students and job seekers from specific countries by displaying advertising banners or Web pages on the site that pertain to the job seeker's college and/or country; employment advertising audits, through which corporations can track and audit the number of times an online employment ad is viewed or accessed and by whom; and, finally, tracking and auditing all advertising activity, through which recruiters can track and audit all traffic to their online advertising - whether the advertising is on OCC's site or their own Web site.

"TMP, through its interactive career services like Online Career Center and The Monster Board (http://www.monster.com), remains fully committed to an ongoing strategy of partnering with innovative, market-leading organizations,'' said Andy McKelvey, chairman and CEO of TMP Worldwide. ``This agreement with NetGravity further demonstrates the strength of OCC as an ideal choice for companies and organizations looking to communicate their recruitment messages via the Internet.''

NetGravity, founded in 1995 and based in San Mateo, CA, is the market leader in online advertising management software. Customers include Associated Electronic Press, Bloomberg, Business Week Online, Forbes, National Geographic Online, Netscape, USA Today and The Weather Channel.

TMP's Interactive Division includes two of the leading online recruitment Web sites, Online Career Center and The Monster Board. Online Career Center, based in Indianapolis, IN, is the Internet's first career site and is used by more than 9,000 companies worldwide for recruitment advertising. Each month approximately 1.8 million people visit TMP's career Web sites to look for positions and gather information on furthering their career.
