TMP Worldwide's The Monster Board Adds USA Today Online, Switchboard, US West And Comcast To List Of Alliances
New York, N.Y., April 15, 1997 -- The Monster Board, (http://www.monster.com) owned by TMP Worldwide, (NASDAQ: TMPW) has announced four new alliances with leading content providers on the Web, continuing its rapidly expanding co-branding efforts. Joining TMP's already impressive list of partners are USA TODAY Online, Switchboard, US West Interactive and Comcast Online Communications. The Monster Board, the Internet's premier career center, provides visitors to these Web sites with job listings, company profiles, resume-building and posting capabilities, and career advice.
"These alliances provide further evidence of The Monster Board's preeminent position in the online recruitment industry," said Andy McKelvey, CEO and chairman of TMP Worldwide. "TMP is fully committed to an ongoing strategy of partnering with innovative, market-leading organizations to provide their Web site visitors with employment opportunities and tools to further their careers."
Jeff Taylor, TMP's executive vice president, Interactive, believes these new relationships will result in added benefits to both career seekers and potential employers. "In all The Monster Board's co-branding efforts, our goal is to provide job postings and career information to different target audiences," said Taylor. "From a potential employer's perspective, these latest alliances provide an increased opportunity to reach 'passive' job seekers, who may not be actively seeking positions through 'traditional' methods, and are therefore unaware of the high-quality employment opportunities available to them."
