TMP Worldwide Wins First Place At International Advertising Awards Competition

Sole Recruitment Advertising Agency To Receive Prestigious Honor

New York, N.Y., March 2, 1998 -- TMP Worldwide (NASDAQ:TMPW), the world's largest yellow page advertising agency and one of the world's largest recruitment advertising agencies, won first place in its Print category at the 27th Annual Mobius Awards held in Chicago this month. Honored for its work on the Price Waterhouse ``Mind & Muscle'' campaign, TMP was the only recruitment advertising agency recognized at this internationally renowned awards program.

Recognized as one of the world's leading advertising competitions, the 1998 Mobius Awards received in excess of 5,000 entries from a total of 36 countries. Agencies from 18 countries were listed among the winners. Other advertising giants sharing honors with TMP included Young & Rubicam, DDB Needham, Saatchi & Saatchi and Leo Burnett.

In concert with Price Waterhouse's global service campaign, the recruiting campaign developed by TMP was built on issues of ``expectation versus reality.'' Through focus groups and attitude studies, the TMP creative team identified the most common issues of consultants in the workplace, integrating these issues into the core of the campaign. The camapaign has been so successful in reaching the Management Consulting Group's recruiting goals that other Price Waterhouse groups are using it to recruit global SAP professionals, Audit professionals and other low-supply, high-demand candidates. In addition to print, the campaign has been executed in interactive media, direct mail and conference/trade show exhibits.

``As an agency best known for bringing a strategic approach to its creative advertising work on behalf of industry leading clients like Price Waterhouse, and for introducing the concept of branding into the recruitment problem-solving process, we are honored to be given this prestigious award,'' said Susan Tribuzio, creative director, copy, on the Price Waterhouse campaign for TMP. Also on hand to accept the award on behalf of TMP were Kathy Marena, creative director, art, and Beth Atkin, art director for the Price Waterhouse campaign.
