TMP Worldwide Names Jeff Taylor CEO of TMP Interactive

New York, N.Y., September 4, 1998 - TMP Worldwide, the leader in Internet recruitment, today announced the appointment of Jeffrey C. Taylor as chief executive officer of TMP Interactive.

According to Andrew J. McKelvey, chairman and CEO of TMP Worldwide, all of TMP's Interactive properties, including the company's leading career sites, The Monster Board (www.monster.com) and Online Career Center (www.occ.com), will now report to Taylor. As CEO, Taylor will be responsible for building the company's existing interactive properties and for developing and branding new Web-based products and services.

"As chief inspiration and founder of The Monster Board, Jeff created the most successful career site on the Internet and helped change the way employers communicate with job seekers," said McKelvey. "As CEO, Jeff's increased involvement in every aspect of our Interactive operations provides him with the opportunity to make an even greater impact on our business. With his vision and aggressive use of interactive communications, I believe Jeff will continue to develop products and services that redefine the way the Internet is used in today's business environment."

For the last three years, Taylor served as executive vice president of TMP Worldwide's Interactive Division, spearheading the development and marketing of Internet products relating to the company's recruitment and yellow page businesses.

"To truly lead careers on the Internet, the challenge is to create the depth and breadth of products and services that meet the ongoing needs of consumers from internship to elderpreneur," said Taylor. "As CEO, I now have the ability to set the strategic direction and guide product development, further expanding our leadership position on the Internet."

Taylor joined TMP Worldwide in 1995, when the company he founded, Adion, Inc., was acquired by TMP. Adion was a specialized recruitment advertising agency that used leading-edge technology to differentiate itself from larger recruitment agencies. Under Taylor's guidance, Adion built an Internet presence as a means of offering a more sophisticated recruiting tool for its clients. As technology continued to advance and the Web's popularity began to explode, Taylor seized the opportunity and created The Monster Board, a very significant departure from traditional "help wanted" thinking.

Taylor is currently attending Harvard University's Executive M.B.A. Program.
