TMP Worldwide Executive Search Creates New Board of Directors Practice; Senior Los Angeles-Based Recruiter Robert Rollo to Lead Practice

NEW YORK, Dec 18, 2001 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- TMP Worldwide Inc. (NASDAQ:TMPW), the world's leading supplier of human capital solutions, including the pre-eminent Internet career portal Monster.com(R), today announced the creation of a new Global Board of Directors Practice in its Executive Search division to be headed by senior CEO recruiter Robert Rollo.

This new practice will assist boards of public and private companies - both large and small, globally - in providing counsel, succession planning and evaluation processes for non-executive board members.

"Conducting board searches is critical to the development of key relationships," said Andrew J. McKelvey, Chairman and CEO of TMP Worldwide. "More importantly, increasing our board level experience will strengthen the Executive Search division's role in TMP Worldwide's `intern to CEO' strategy."

TMP Worldwide's new Board of Directors professionals will provide executive search services at the most senior level to thriving enterprises in the areas of financial services, healthcare, technology, manufacturing and packaged goods, as well as other industry sectors.

"The individuals invited to join the practice, span all geographic and sector practices and were selected for their extensive experience recruiting at the CEO and Board Member level," Rollo said. "In fact, over the last twelve months, a substantial number of such engagements have been conducted globally by the firm."

John Mclaughlin, acting President of Executive Search North America, said, "By capitalizing on the inherent strengths of our executive search consultants and on TMP Worldwide's market position, this new practice will significantly enhance the company's overall senior ranking recruitment abilities."

Mr. Rollo has 20 years' experience in executive search. Prior to his association with TMP Worldwide, he was a founding partner of Rollo Associates, a Los Angeles-based premier provider of nationwide executive search services.

He established the firm in 1992, which specialized in recruiting leaders on behalf of a portfolio of prominent clients ranging from emerging technology companies to established multinationals. Prior to founding Rollo Associates, Mr. Rollo was a Senior Partner at Korn Ferry for 11 years, heading the firm's Southern California region.

Before entering the field of executive search, Mr. Rollo served as Vice President of Marketing for AM Jacquard Systems, a manufacturer and distributor of small business computers, as well as Director of Strategic Planning for the parent company, AM International.

Mr. Rollo received his Bachelor of Science Degree with honors and a Master's Degree in Business Administration from the University of Southern California (USC).
