TMP Worldwide Executive Search Appoints Former Korn/Ferry Executives to Two Senior Positions

James M. Bethmann was named Global Technology Sector Leader and Partner in the division's Dallas office, and Jeremy C. Hanson was named Managing Partner and head of the division's Minneapolis office.

As Global Technology Sector Leader, Mr. Bethmann, age 47, will be responsible for overseeing all senior-level executive recruiting assignments within the global technology industry, including such areas as enterprise and applications software and services, hardware and peripherals, telecommunications equipment and services, information systems and IT services, as well as management and professional services. As Managing Partner, Mr. Hanson, age 38, will oversee all operations in the Minneapolis office and play a significant role in spearheading the firm's Advanced Technology and Industrial practices.

Mr. Bethmann was formerly a Managing Director in Korn/Ferry International's advanced technology practice as well as co-head of the firm's technology practice in North America and the firm's software and emerging technologies sector. He also vice chaired the firm's e-business strategy and search initiatives. Prior to joining Korn/Ferry, Mr. Bethmann led the Southwest technology practice of another major executive search firm. He also served as a President of Recognition International, a leading international systems supplier of high performance document recognition systems, image and workflow software solutions. Mr. Bethmann earned a BS in management technology from the U.S. Naval Academy.
Formerly the Managing Director of Korn/Ferry International's Minneapolis office, Mr. Hanson was responsible for leading the firm's overall search practice in Minnesota. His many years of experience in senior-level executive search, includes a primary focus on finding chief executives and presidents for leading public corporations, as well as early stage companies, in the technology and manufacturing sectors. Before joining Korn/Ferry, Mr. Hanson held a variety of general management and consulting positions at American Express Corporation. Prior to that, he served as a manager and commodity trader with Cargill, Incorporated. Mr. Hanson earned a BA from Hamline University and an MBA from the University of Minnesota.
