-
Monster Government Solutions Unit Selected Over Four Other Agencies to Revamp U.S. Office of Personnel Management's USAJOBS Web Site -
TMP Worldwide Inc. (NASDAQ: TMPW), the world's leading supplier of human capital solutions, including the pre-eminent Internet career portal Monster(R), today announced that it has been awarded a contract worth up to $62 million over ten years to overhaul the U.S. Office of Personnel Management's USAJOBS Web site (www.usajobs.opm.gov), which presents an average of more than 17,000 federal job vacancy announcements per day.
TMP's Monster Government Solutions unit was selected for the assignment over four other bidders and is now eligible for a series of one-year renewable performance-based contracts that could potentially run through the year 2013. In addition to the overhaul, Monster will take over daily maintenance of the Web site.
"The services of the federal government are increasing as our country's needs evolve to reflect the world we live in. Consequently, the federal government must present its numerous job openings in an appealing, compelling and intuitive format online to attract talented individuals to fill those vacancies," said Andrew J. McKelvey, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of TMP Worldwide. "The opportunity to work with the U.S. Office of Personnel Management and to leverage our unrivaled online job search and recruitment expertise in the redesign of the USAJOBS Web site is a privilege and significant milestone for Monster."
Monster's re-design and enhancement of the USAJOBS site will focus on providing job candidates with clearer, more instructive information pertaining to federal job vacancies. In addition, the site will be outfitted with an enhanced job search engine, resume builder tools and a mining feature to enable managers to more easily and accurately locate potential qualified job candidates. Other planned additions include a universal resume development and submission function that is compatible with all agency-unique automated application processing systems and a feature that enables job applicants to track the status of their applications throughout the review and evaluation process.
In an effort to further benefit federal recruitment efforts, Monster also will provide a link to the USAJOBS site off its Web site.
