TMP Worldwide Appoints Former CFO of USA Networks Michael Sileck as Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Sileck, age 41, takes over from TMP Worldwide's acting CFO, Bob O'Connell. Mr. Sileck is expected to join TMP during the first quarter of 2002 and will be responsible for overseeing TMP's global finances as well as implementing financial planning strategies that enhance the company's overall profitability.
Formerly CFO and Senior Vice President of USA Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: USAI), a multi-billion dollar media and commerce company, Mr. Sileck was responsible for all financial and accounting activities for the company. Under his financial guidance since 1999, USA Networks has consistently generated double-digit annual EBITDA growth while building a diverse yet unique group of assets.
"Michael's deep financial expertise and proven track record of success at USA Networks made him the clear front-runner to assume the duties of CFO at TMP," said Jim Treacy, President and COO of TMP Worldwide. "His ability to manage the finances of USA Networks' multi-faceted media and commerce operations will translate nicely to handling TMP's numerous business channels, and we're extremely confident that he will make significant contributions to TMP's continued revenue growth and profitability."
Prior to joining USA Networks, Mr. Sileck was Vice President of Finance at Sinclair Broadcast Group in Baltimore, Maryland. There he was responsible for financial operations of a broadcasting group that included 60 TV stations and 50 radio stations. Before that, Mr. Sileck held Director of Finance positions at River City Broadcasting in St. Louis, Missouri and Narragansett Television, L.P. in Providence, Rhode Island. A Certified Public Accountant, Mr. Sileck earned a BS in Science/Accounting from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan and an MBA from Oklahoma City University.
