TMP Worldwide Announces New Executive Search Management Team as Part of Company's Broader Strategic Reorganization
Michael Kelly Named President of Executive Search, North America
John Wallace Named Chief Operating Officer of Executive Search, North America
TMP Worldwide Inc. (NASDAQ:TMPW), the world's leading supplier of human capital solutions, including the pre-eminent Internet career portal Monster.com(R) and the world's largest Yellow Pages advertising agency, today announced new management roles for two key executives in its Executive Search division, which specializes in recruiting senior corporate leaders, such as CEOs, COOs, CFOs and their direct reports.
Michael Kelly was named President of Executive Search, North America and John Wallace was named Chief Operating Officer of Executive Search, North America.
To better capitalize on the synergies between its business segments, further enhance its ability to cross-sell its diversified product line to existing clients, and drive revenue and profitability growth, TMP announced a series of appointments last month as part of a broad reorganization of the Company into three geographic regions: North America, Europe and Asia Pacific.
The new regional structure will further reduce redundancy and increase efficiency, while establishing regionally consolidated operations that standardize processes and procedures across country borders. The reorganization allows the Company to adopt a shared services approach to information technology, accounting and other functions.
"The management team we are establishing for the Executive Search division has the experience to drive our North American revenues and profitability," said Jim Treacy President and COO of TMP Worldwide.
Michael Kelly has been named President of Executive Search, North America and is responsible for overseeing the development and delivery of innovative, comprehensive solutions to meet the recruitment and staffing needs of North American clients. Formerly, Global Sector Leader of the firm's Healthcare practice, Mr. Kelly focused on recruiting chief executives and board members for leading global healthcare companies.
Previously, he was President of Korn/Ferry International's Global Healthcare Practice and a member of the firm's Global Search Operating Committee. Previous industry experience includes tenure as a Vice President at St. Jude Medical, Inc. and senior-level positions with Recognition Equipment, Inc. Mr. Kelly is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy and a former Marine Captain. He received a Master of Arts degree from Pepperdine University.
John Wallace has been named Chief Operating Officer of Executive Search, North America, and is responsible for driving the firm's profitability and managing the day-to-day operations in North America. Previously, Mr. Wallace served as Managing Partner of the Canadian Executive Search Practice and was responsible for operations and strategic initiatives in that region.
Mr. Wallace joined TMP Worldwide upon the acquisition of the Toronto Practice of Illsley Bourbonnais by TMP Worldwide Executive Search in March 2000. Prior to his association with Illsley Bourbonnais, Mr. Wallace held progressively senior sales and marketing positions, the most recent being Vice President of Sales and Service with a national subsidiary of Nortel. Mr. Wallace holds an Honours Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Waterloo.
Mr. Kelly and Mr. Wallace assume the North American responsibilities of John Mclaughlin, who was acting President of the Executive Search division of TMP Worldwide.
"Mike and John make a unique team that will be able to drive our revenues, manage our expenses, and increase our profitability across North America," Mclaughlin said. "In addition, they will help drive the synergies that exist across all of TMP Worldwide's product lines."
