TMP Worldwide Announces 2-for-1 Stock Split
New York, NY – January 11, 2000 – TMP Worldwide Inc. (Nasdaq: TMPW; ASX: TMP), owner of Monster.com, the Internet's leading career portal; one of the world's largest recruitment agencies; and the world's largest Yellow Pages advertising agency, today announced that its Board of Directors has approved a 2-for-1 stock split in the form of a stock dividend on the Company's outstanding common stock.
The stock dividend is payable February 29, 2000, to stockholders of record as of February 16, 2000.
Andy McKelvey, Chairman and CEO of TMP Worldwide, stated, "The decision to effect a stock split at this time reflects our strong performance to-date, which we believe has been driven largely by TMP's growing Internet revenues. We feel this action has the potential to enhance the liquidity of our stock and broaden ownership."
