TMP Worldwide’s The Monster Board Strengthens Position In Online College Market With Three New Alliance Agreements

New York, (July 31, 1998) – TMP Worldwide (NASDAQ: TMPW) today announced that its Internet career center The Monster Board formed three new strategic alliances that will further bolster the company's leadership position in the critical online college marketplace. As a result of the new agreements with Future Pages, College Town U.S.A. and Golden Key National Honor Society, The Monster Board will reach an additional three million entry level candidates with job and career related information.

Today's alliance announcement comes just two months after TMP Worldwide solidly established itself in the college marketplace with the acquisition of StudentCenter.com and its InternCenter, the largest online internship database. The additional exposure among today's and tomorrow's college students is an important part of the company's strategy to strengthen its position as the career portal on the Internet where people can manage their career from intern to CEO.

"There's no question that tomorrow's job seekers will be the most Internet savvy ever and, unlike many first time job seekers of past generations, we believe they will begin their job searches online," said Andrew J. McKelvey, chairman and CEO of TMP Worldwide. "By providing them with the comprehensive career information they need to find that important first job, we're building a loyalty that will keep them coming back over the years as they advance in their career."

"And, as with all of our alliances, we are increasing the exposure of The Monster Board's clients' job information to a greater universe of potential candidates. The addition of Future Pages, College Town U.S.A. and Golden Key National Honor Society to The Monster Board's network is a great added benefit for recruiters who need to fill entry level positions," added McKelvey.

Future Pages (www.futurepages.com) touts the largest partnership network of online college newspapers with more than 110 online publications and over three million monthly impressions. Future Pages will serve as the liaison between The Monster Board and many of the nation's top universities to ensure that the career site's jobs and resume databases are seamlessly linked to the universities' online newspapers.

College Town U.S.A. (www.collegetownusa.com) designs and manages Web sites for accredited academic institutions, providing the nation's universities and colleges with the opportunity to provide vital school and community information to the college-bound and enrolled student as well as to their families, friends and faculty. College Town U.S.A. is networked to more than 120 Web sites. Through the co-branded agreement with The Monster Board, the more than 700,000 students and alumni that College Town U.S.A. reaches will have free access to the career site's more than 25,000 job listings, resume-building and posting capabilities, and career advice.

Under its agreement with The Golden Key National Honor Society (gknhs.gsu.edu), The Monster Board will serve as the resume data bank for the academic honors organization's Web site. The nonprofit society unites talented undergraduate students with prominent faculty and university administrators who are active in Golden Key at the chapter and national levels. Employers who purchase access to The Monster Board's Resume City will have access to the students' resumes and The Monster Board's entry level jobs will be available to students visiting The Golden Key National Honor Society Web site.
