Yahoo! Internet Life magazine selected Monster.com as the best site to "Get a Job" in its "50 Most Incredibly Useful Sites" issue for July 2001, while Monster.com was also recognized as "Company of the Year" during the 4th Annual MIMC (Massachusetts Interactive Media Counsel) Interactive Leadership Awards held in June.
According to independent research conducted by Media Metrix, Monster.com is the number one destination for career seekers and the 49th most visited property* overall on the Internet. Monster.com maintained its stronghold this month with a reach** of 7.3 percent, an average of 31.1 pages viewed per user, and a power ranking*** of 227, more than six times that of its closest competitor's power ranking of 34.6. Monthly unique visitors to Monster.com increased from 4.4 million during June 2000 to 6.5 million for June 2001, an increase of 48% percent.
