Monster.com Promotes Three Executives to the Positions of Group President

MAYNARD, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 31, 2001--Monster.com(R), the leading global online careers site and flagship brand TMP Worldwide Inc. (NASDAQ: TMPW), announced today that Steve Pogorzelski, Brian Farrey, and Robert O'Connell have each been promoted to a newly created position of Group President, reporting to Jeff Taylor, founder and CEO of Monster.com.

Steve Pogorzelski, formerly executive vice president of global sales, has been promoted to Group President - Sales, Marketing and Customer Relations. In his new role, Steve will have global responsibility for all sales, marketing (consumer and B2B), business development and customer relations, including European and Pacific Rim regional management.

Brian Farrey, formerly chief technology officer, has been promoted to Group President - Strategy, Product & Technology. Brian's new role includes global responsibility for strategic research and development, product management and all aspects of technology.

Robert O'Connell, formerly chief operating officer, has been promoted to Group President - Finance, Human Resources & Administration. Bob will oversee all aspects of finance, legal, human resources, facilities, and training.

Corporate Bios

Steve Pogorzelski: Brings over 18 years of recruitment advertising agency experience to Monster.com, encompassing a wide variety of functional areas. Prior to joining Monster.com, he was the Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing for TMP Worldwide, the parent company of Monster.com. In that position, Pogorzelski was responsible for agency new business development in nine countries on three continents. He joined Monster.com in December 1998, after working with TMP for seven years. Pogorzelski is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin with a B.A. in Journalism/Advertising.

Brian Farrey: Farrey joined Monster.com in 1999 after 17 years of experience in providing technical solutions to a broad range of companies in multiple industries. Prior to joining Monster.com, Farrey was Chief Technology Officer and Chief Operating Officer at OrderTrust Inc., an e-commerce network service company based in Lowell, Massachusetts. From its inception, Farrey oversaw all technology-related operations of the company. Previously, Farrey was with several companies in the healthcare and manufacturing sectors. He managed all aspects of Technology, including application development, network services, database technologies and IT Support for these companies. Farrey has a B.A. from Eisenhower College of R.I.T. and a M.S. from Worcester State College. He completed the Stanford Executive Program in 1998, and was selected as one of InfoWorld's 25 Most Influential CTOs for 2001.

Robert O'Connell: O'Connell provides over 30 years of experience to his new role. As COO of Monster.com he helped oversee the 1999 merger of Online Career Center and The Monster Board and Monster.com's international expansion into 16 countries. Prior to joining Monster.com in April 1997, O'Connell served as SVP of Finance for TMP Worldwide Inc. Prior to joining TMP, he served in several senior finance positions for Ogilvy & Mather. O'Connell attended Saint John's University, where he received a B.B.A. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and worked as a CPA for Deloitte & Touche for 12 years.
