Monster.com Leads Industry in Job Seeker Satisfaction; To Further Boost Consumer Experience, Monster Introduces New Resume Enhancement Product

MAYNARD, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 5, 2001--Monster.com(R), the leading global online careers site and flagship brand of TMP Worldwide Inc. (NASDAQ: TMPW), today announced the results of a NFO WorldGroup Study(1) on Internet career sites, in which Monster.com achieved the highest job seeker satisfaction marks among the leading career sites.

In the NFO study, job seekers were asked the question, "How satisfied are you with the different job or career websites that you have visited?" 90% of job seekers answered that they were satisfied with Monster.com, with 48% saying they were extremely or very satisfied. 56% said they would recommend Monster.com to a friend, leading all other career sites. Since its inception, Monster.com has strived to listen to job seekers' needs concerning how to improve the product. The high levels of job seeker satisfaction reflected in the NFO study are a direct result of Monster.com's listening to job seekers and providing additional tools designed to enhance their experience.

To further respond to consumer feedback, Monster.com also announced today the creation of a new resume product, designed to provide job seekers the opportunity to raise awareness of their skills and qualifications. Job seekers listed the resume enhancement feature as a current need and a new way to highlight attributes that make them desirable candidates. The resume enhancement tool gives job seekers an opportunity to stand out, by bolding their name and resume title and posting up to three descriptive icons on the employer results page. With this feature, job seekers can merchandise their capabilities by associating general skills and experience icons with their resume, increasing their visibility among employers. Monster.com's Library of Icons features more than 15 options including: Available Immediately, Willing to Travel, Bilingual, Customer Service, Management, Military, P/L Responsibility and more. These enhancements can be purchased for a nominal fee. However, current and core Monster.com services for the job seeker will remain free. A similar product of enhanced listings is also being offered for employers, giving them the opportunity to bold and highlight job postings, thereby grabbing the attention of interested job seekers.

"The new resume enhancement product gives job seekers the opportunity to not only highlight their resume, but also to showcase the qualifications that would make them an ideal candidate for any number of positions," said Jeff Taylor, CEO, Monster.com. "The product is part of the overall mission of Monster to service customers and consumers with the best possible career management tools and offerings that will lead to matching the most qualified candidates with the best job opportunities."
