Monster Worldwide Names Darko Dejanovic as Senior Vice President and Global Chief Information Officer
NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 18, 2007--Monster Worldwide, Inc., (NASDAQ:MNST) the parent company of Monster(R), the leading global online careers and recruitment resource, today announced the appointment of Darko Dejanovic to the position of Senior Vice President and Global Chief Information Officer. Dejanovic had previously been Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer for the Tribune Company in Chicago, where he was responsible for all strategy, operations and development activities of the Information Technology (IT) organization on a company-wide basis. He also served in a prior role as CTO for the Tribune Publishing Company.
Dejanovic will be responsible for providing Monster with overall IT leadership and direction, and will develop an enterprise-wide IT strategy to support the Company's goals to continually enhance the quality of the user experience. He will lead Monster's IT organization on a global basis, encompassing employees across Monster's North America, Europe and Asia operations. He also will partner with Monster's business unit executives to identify technology opportunities to help the Company deliver new products, improve operating effectiveness, and enhance customer service. Dejanovic will be based in the Company's Maynard, Massachusetts office, and will report directly to Brad Baker, Monster's president of Technology, Product & Service.

Dejanovic has over 15 years of experience in IT leadership, and brings to Monster a blend of deep hands-on technical skills and a passion for technology. While at the Tribune Company, he led technology-enabled transformational change initiatives and helped the company to respond to rapidly-changing market demands.
Prior to joining the Tribune Company, Dejanovic had technology leadership roles for the Education Management Group, one of the largest providers of post-secondary education in the United States, and for the European Community Monitor Mission, one of the largest international public policy organizations. Dejanovic earned an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University and a BS in Computer Information Systems from Florida Metropolitan University.
