MAYNARD, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 25, 2004-- Hoop fans across the country will soon converge on San Antonio, Texas for the 2004 NCAA(R) Division I Men's Final Four(R) April 3rd -5th. As part of its extensive 2004 brand marketing plan and "Today's the Day" campaign, Monster today announced several events and activities for fans of all ages in San Antonio. Monster Mascot Rodeo
In true Texas style, six mascots from top NCAA basketball schools, along with Monster's signature mascot, Trumpasaurus, will compete for the coveted honor of winning the inaugural Monster Mascot Rodeo. A professional rodeo judge will critique each mascot on their mechanical bull-riding skills, technique and style.
Monster Mascot Rodeo will take place at NCAA(R) Hoop City(R) on Sunday, April 4th from 3:00 - 4:30 p.m. CT. The following NCAA schools will be represented:
- University of Connecticut Huskies (#2 seed, Phoenix Regional)
- Texas Longhorns (#3 seed, Atlanta Regional)
- North Carolina Tarheels (# 6 seed, Atlanta Regional)
- Kansas Jayhawks (#4 seed, St. Louis Regional)
- Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (#3 seed, St. Louis Regional)
- UCLA Bruins

Keep your eyes peeled for the Monster Squads
Dressed in green Monster basketball uniforms and orange cowboy hats, the Monster Squads will be hard to miss in San Antonio. These energetic Squad members will be giving out Monster bucket hats and visors, along with "Monster Special Guest" credentials that will grant free admittance to the Monster Den at Mad Dogs.

Located at the popular Mad Dogs on the Riverwalk, the Monster Den will be open from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. daily from Friday, April 2nd - Monday, April 5th (times subject to change). Fans will be able to watch the NCAA Basketball(R) games on a six-by-nine foot screen; win cool Final Four merchandise; and have access to the Monster website, where they can enter to win a trip for two to the 2005 NCAA Division I Men's Final Four.
National recording artists Smash Mouth will perform at the Monster Den on Sunday, April 4th. In the days prior to the show, "mystery spotters" will present tickets to select fans wearing Monster bucket hats and visors.
NCAA Corporate Partner
Monster officially joined the NCAA's Corporate Partner Program in April 2003, signing a multi-year contract with CBS Sports.
