Monster Launches TriState JobMatch Hiring Service for Hourly Workers in Greater Cincinnati
Monster Continues to Redefine the World of Work; Additional Monster JobMatch Locations to be Rolled Out Nationwide
CINCINNATI & MAYNARD, Mass., Mar 25, 2002 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Recognizing the unique search and hiring needs of hourly job seekers and employers, Monster(R) today announced TriState JobMatch (www.jobmatch.com), a fast, easy, and convenient way for non-exempt (hourly) job seekers to search and apply to a wide range of local employment opportunities. This initial offering in Greater Cincinnati is the first entry of Monster JobMatch, a larger Monster initiative focused on the employment needs of hourly workers and the companies that employ them. Reaffirming its commitment to reaching all types of job seekers, Monster plans to roll out additional markets nationwide in the future. Monster is the leading global online careers site and flagship brand of TMP Worldwide Inc. (NASDAQ: TMPW)
"With Monster's proven expertise and experience in the Internet recruiting space, it made absolute sense to create an offering that addresses the unique needs of the non-exempt labor market," said Andy McKelvey, chairman and CEO of TMP Worldwide. "We expect our launch of TriState JobMatch to be the first step in a series of successful roll-outs. Once we've established a presence in Cincinnati, our lead market, we can easily apply the model to markets nationwide."
Leveraging Monster's powerful search engine technology, job seekers are able to conduct targeted searches for local non-exempt jobs that best match their interests and skills. JobMatch is designed for full-time, part-time, seasonal, and temporary non-exempt workers in all industries, including retail, food services, healthcare, production, construction, customer service, and general labor. TriState JobMatch also enables employers to quickly and efficiently find and hire the most qualified non-exempt workers.
"We believe this is the first meaningful entry into the non-exempt marketplace, which makes up more than 70 percent of the U.S. Labor market and has a turnover rate four times higher than that of the exempt market," said Pat O'Brien, president, TriState JobMatch. "With TriState JobMatch, we're hoping to empower job seekers to easily and conveniently find a better job match, while improving the speed, cost-effectiveness and quality of results for employers hiring non-exempt workers."
TriState JobMatch offers an "easier way to a better match" for both job seekers and employers by offering online and offline solutions. To accommodate job seekers who may not have regular Internet access, TriState JobMatch offers the option to complete an application via a toll-free telephone number or print a paper application to fill out and mail, which will then be transcribed and entered into the system by the TriState JobMatch team. Employers are given the option to receive applications that match their criteria via email or fax.
For Job Seekers
Non-exempt workers are accustomed to completing different applications for each potential employer. With TriState JobMatch, job seekers can now complete one online application and apply to hundreds of jobs instantly, free of charge. Because TriState JobMatch is application-based, a resume is not required.
Additional benefits for job seekers include:
- Targeted Search Criteria - Using Monster's search functionality, job seekers can look for jobs in a specific location by simply entering the zip code. Individuals can also search by category, job title, geographic location, full-time/part-time/seasonal/temporary work, and/or by company name.
- Online Application - Job seekers are able to apply for a job online by answering a set of questions specific to the job for which they are applying.
- Confidential Application - With TriState JobMatch, job seekers are able to create a confidential application without jeopardizing their current job. The seeker can choose that their contact information not be revealed to potential employers; if an employer is interested in the candidate, an email will be sent to the job seeker's email address.
- Real-Time Hiring Solutions - Job seekers are able to search and view all available positions as soon as employers post them. And when job seekers post an application online, potential employers can view it immediately.
- Centralized Status - Via the JobMatch website, job seekers can track how many times their application/interviews were viewed by employers, a list of jobs for which they applied, and the status of their interview process.
For Employers
To help employers meet seasonal and ongoing hiring demands caused by high turnover in the hourly job market, TriState JobMatch offers a continuous stream of pre-qualified candidates. Employers can browse through an online pool of candidates or post job listings directly on the website to hire local hourly workers. Unlike classified advertising, TriState JobMatch provides employers with immediate access, 24 hours a day, to pre-qualified non-exempt workers.
Additional benefits for employers include:
- Pre-Screening Tools - Through customized qualification requirements, including profile questions and job-specific interview criteria, employers can attract and hire the best non-exempt local candidates. Employers can rank candidates based on pre-determined questions and are able to view candidates who have expressed specific interest in their company.
- Targeted Search - Using Monster's search functionality, employers can search industry-specific candidate pools by job title, geographic location, and the candidate's desire to engage in full-time, part-time or seasonal work.
