Monster Government Solutions to Improve Hiring for U.S. Coast Guard
ALEXANDRIA, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 26, 2004--Monster Government Solutions - a division of Monster Worldwide (NASDAQ: MNST - News) - today announced that it has won a contract worth an estimated $2.6M, assuming all options are exercised, to provide an automated web-based staffing, recruiting and classification service for the U.S. Coast Guard Office of Civilian Human Resources. As part of this deal, Monster Government Solutions will provide its fully web-based QuickHire Xi and QuickClassification products. The award is integral to Monster Government Solutions' efforts to aggressively expand its presence throughout the Federal government. Monster Government Solutions already counts over 100 government agencies as customers, including several key agencies within the Department of Homeland Security.
Hiring a world class workforce has risen to the top of the agenda for the US Coast Guard, which has over 7,000 civilian employees across 100 locations nationwide. Just last year, 50,000 applicants vied for about 1000 positions.
