Monster Expands Performance Assessment Solution in Response to Increasing Employer Demand
Business Editors
CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 4, 2006--Monster(R), the leading global online careers and recruitment resource and flagship brand of Monster Worldwide, Inc. (NASDAQ: MNST), today announced at HR Technology 2006 that due to customer demand, it is expanding Monster Performance Assessment, an online predictive assessment product designed to help companies effectively identify candidates with the greatest potential for success in a given position. The Company has broadened Monster Performance Assessment to include three new occupational categories (information technology, engineering and manufacturing), as well as German, French and Spanish language capabilities to benefit more businesses and expand its relevance to European companies.
Launched in May 2006, Monster Performance Assessment has been instrumental in helping employers match quality candidates to job postings, prompting the Company to expand the solution to further help employers streamline their recruiting process and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of their hiring decisions. To date, the solution has been adopted by more than 400 companies, ranging from small businesses to major enterprise corporations, and more than 11,000 candidates have been screened.
Monster Performance Assessment is integrated into the job posting and activated by customers with a single click - expediting the hiring process and improving the quality of hire - saving employers time and improving retention. Furthermore, by eliminating the price barrier associated with the traditional per-applicant pricing model, Monster Performance Assessment brings scientifically validated, industry-specific assessment to companies of all sizes. The solution will soon have the ability to integrate with third-party applicant tracking systems (ATS) providers that participate in Monster's Premier ATS alliance program. This will help customers further centralize their recruitment processes.
"The introduction of Monster Performance Assessment has further extended the value we get from using Monster," said Dale Olsen, Ph.D., President and CEO of SIMmersion. "In addition to saving us hours of screening phone calls and unqualified interviews, the solution can help us zero in on only top candidates. Most importantly, it will help us avoid the huge expense of a bad hire. The fact that the Monster Performance Assessment is so seamlessly integrated into the Monster platform and requires minimal input will help us find the right candidates with much less effort required from our hiring managers."
"Since the introduction of Monster Performance Assessment in May, we've seen hundreds of companies improve their overall recruitment process and the quality of their new hires, which will ultimately result in improved retention and increased organizational performance," said Neal Bruce, Vice President of Alliances for Monster. "Customers are realizing value from Monster Performance Assessment, and we have responded to their feedback. Monster remains committed to enhancing and expanding this product to benefit businesses around the world."
