Last month, Monster led the career category by a wide margin, according to comScore Media Metrix and Nielsen//NetRatings. The 13.4 million unique visitors to Monster during the month of September, according to comScore Media Metrix, tripled the closest competitor's total of 4.4 million unique visitors. Additionally, according to Nielsen//NetRatings, Monster received 12.9 million unique visitors, more than three times that of its closest competitor's 3.7 million unique visitors. According to independent research conducted by comScore Media Metrix, Monster is the number one destination for career seekers and the 25th most visited property(1) overall on the Internet. Monster maintained its stronghold this month with an average of 27.8 pages viewed per user and a power ranking(2) of 295.1, more than all of its ranked competitors combined. Monthly unique visitors to Monster increased from 7.2 million during September 2001 to 13.4 million for September 2002, an increase of 86 percent. Monster further demonstrated its strength in the online careers industry with a 51.5 percent share of online career eyeball minutes(3), while its closest competitor represents only an 13.2 percent share, less than a third of Monster's percentage.

According to the Nielsen//NetRatings' MarketView report for the month of September, Monster received 12.9 million unique visitors and a power ranking of 333.9. Monster also received 55.1 percent of career eyeball minutes, with its closest competitor representing a share of only 12.2 percent, a difference of over 42 percent.
