Mark Stoever Joins Monster as Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Consumer Business; Seasoned Executive strengthens management team and Monster's Consumer Businesses
MAYNARD, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 22, 2005--Monster(R), the leading global online careers site and flagship brand of Monster Worldwide, Inc. (NASDAQ: MNST), today announced the appointment of Mark Stoever as Senior Vice President and General Manager, Consumer Business. Mr. Stoever, who recently served as President and Chief Executive Officer of global Internet content and service provider Lycos, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Terra Lycos, Inc., joins Monster with nearly 20 years of experience in product and brand management.
In this newly created position, Mr. Stoever will be responsible for the general management, as well as continued development and growth of several Monster properties including Monster Consumer, Military Advantage, Tickle and Monster Campus (FastWeb, Making it Count, MonsterTRAK).

Mr. Stoever joined Lycos, Inc. in 1996 as a founding member of product marketing management and six years into his tenure, was named President and CEO of Lycos, Inc. Before his time at Terra Lycos, Mr. Stoever was a product manager at ON Technology Corp. and before that was with Microcom, Inc. Mr. Stoever is a graduate of Boston's Wentworth Institute of Technology and the recipient of a Masters in Business Administration from Boston University.
