Kathy Paladino Joins Monster as Senior Vice President of North America Sales
MAYNARD, Mass., Jul 30, 2010 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Monster.com(R), the leading job matching engine and flagship brand of Monster Worldwide, Inc. (NYSE: MWW), announced today that Kathy Paladino will lead its North American Sales team. Kathy will leverage her extensive enterprise business experience in the technology sector to drive sales of Monster's new products and services.
Kathy is joining Monster at a time of great opportunity for the company. Monster has spent the last few years developing technologies, including its 6SenseTM semantic search technology, which are opening a new set of possibilities for its customers. "The fact that Monster has such a broad and diverse portfolio of recruiting solutions only reinforces the great opportunity we have here. I believe we're uniquely positioned to gain additional market share and win new customers," said Kathy.
"Kathy knows how to develop sales strategies for market leading technologies and develop solutions that customers can see great value in. Kathy is ideal for this role, particularly at a time when we're seeing such momentum in our strategy," said Sal Iannuzzi, chairman, president and CEO of Monster Worldwide.
Prior to joining Monster, Kathy was president of Motorola, Inc.'s Enterprise Mobility division. She also held the position of Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales at Symbol Technologies, Inc. where she led Symbol to its most successful sales volume ever. Previously, Kathy spent eight years of service at Cisco Systems, leading Cisco's U.S. Cable and Emerging Service Provider business. With over 25 years of experience, Kathy has focused on the technology sector and, in the process, has established a reputation as a leader who can mobilize and inspire people.
Steve Cooker, previously head of North America Sales for Monster, will now have global responsibility for Monster's Government Solutions business. Steve will focus on expanding Monster's presence domestically with local, state and federal agencies as well as internationally. Given the recent growth in government hiring, the segment has the potential to be a key catalyst for global growth. Together, Kathy and Steve will substantially increase Monster's firepower in both the North American and global government markets. "Our government relationships are extremely important to us and we wanted to provide them dedicated senior leadership," said Iannuzzi.
