IN2.COM Wins 1999 Casie Award For Most Effective Interactive Advertising For The Starmedia Campaign

New York, NY, October 19, 1999 – IN2.com (www.in2.com), a leading interactive agency and marketing technologies company, has won the 1999 CASIE Award for the Most Effective Interactive Advertising campaign in communications.
The award was presented to StarMedia Network during the 90th Annual conference of the Association of National Advertisers (ANA), the trade organization representing the United States' largest and most prestigious marketers.

StarMedia's innovative campaign consisted of a series of 12 animated and interactive HTML banners in Spanish and Portuguese highlighting StarMedia's community features, including StarMedia TalkPlanet (chat), StarMedia Mail (e-mail) and StarMedia Busca Web (search) among others. The banners integrated images from StarMedia's print and TV advertising campaign with very simple yet strong call-to-action phrases. The campaign encourages interaction while reinforcing StarMedia's brand image.

IN2 was able to seamlessly integrate the offline messaging, interactive site functionality and campaign performance goal," said Tracey Guiterrez, Consumer Marketing Manager at StarMedia. StarMedia's campaign was judged according to industry metrics such as click-thru rate, cost-per-click, conversion to membership, pageviews per visit and retention rates.
