Former Korn/Ferry Exec Appointed to Senior Position At TMP Worldwide Executive Search

Dr. Fallya Petrakopoulou Named Pharmaceuticals and Biotechnology Practice Leader

Dr. Petrakopoulou, 42, served as a Managing Director in Korn/Ferry's Healthcare Practice, where she specialized in recruiting senior-level executives for the pharmaceuticals and life science industries on a global basis. In addition to her recruiting responsibilities at Korn/Ferry, she was the Global Director, New Products & Services for healthcare products. As such, she spearheaded the practice's expansion of services to clients; which included assessing the senior management team for healthcare products companies undergoing M&A activity or transformation of their business and helping clients build their middle management team through Korn/Ferry's Internet-based venture.

Dr. Petrakopoulou joined Korn/Ferry from Hedrick & Struggles where she was a Partner of the firm's Healthcare Practice in New York. She began her career in executive search at Russell Reynolds Associates in New York following more than 11 years of industry experience in both line and strategic/global roles. These include key executive positions with GlaxoWellcome plc and the Wellcome Foundation in London, as well as Bristol-Myers Squibb in Paris and Princeton. Dr. Petrakopoulou began her professional career in marketing at Laboratoires Servier in France.

Dr. Petrakopoulou earned her undergraduate and Pharm. D. degrees in Pharmacy from the Aristotelian University in Greece and her Master's degree in industrial pharmacy and cosmetology from the University of Montpellier in France. Her executive education in marketing and finance was completed at INSEAD in France and the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.
