MAYNARD, Mass. & INDIANAPOLIS, Nov 11, 2004 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Monster(R), the leading global online careers property, announced its expanding presence through the opening of a new 30,000 square foot facility in Parkwood Crossing Office Park. The Indianapolis office has grown significantly in the past six months, with telesales representatives increasing by approximately 70 percent, making it the second largest office in the United States market for Monster. Monster is the leading global online careers property and flagship brand of Monster Worldwide, Inc. (NASDAQ: MNST).

The opening will take place this evening at 6:30 p.m. with Monster executives and local officials having a formal ribbon-cutting ceremony at 7:30 p.m.

With the city of Indianapolis experiencing a positive trend in employment, Monster has seen a 32 percent increase in the number of Indianapolis job postings compared to a year earlier (October 2003 vs. October 2004). Based on a comprehensive analysis of online postings on Monster for the Indianapolis market in October 2004, the top five industries for total postings for local employment include Sales; Accounting/Auditing; Information Technology; Engineering; and Manufacturing and Production. Furthermore, according to the U.S. Department of Labor, the Indianapolis unemployment rate remained steady at 4.7 percent in September - well below the national October rate of 5.5 percent.

"Indianapolis has experienced a period of solid growth over the past year, as represented by both the latest Monster Employment Index as well as local Monster online job postings," said Steve Pogorzelski, president of Monster, North America. "We are proud to be a part of that growth, having been a presence in the region for the past several years; and remain committed to future expansion, supporting the needs of our clients and the great city of Indianapolis."

The office is based on the design of the Monster world headquarters in Maynard, Massachusetts. The new space resonates with brightly-colored walls and a Monster Den for lunches and informal gatherings. In addition, the new building offers a cafeteria and a gym on site.

A grand opening celebration for the new office space will be held on Wednesday, November 10, 2004, 6:30 - 9:30 PM EST. The event will take place at Parkwood Crossing, Suite 200, located at 500 East 96th Street (within Parkwood Crossing Office Park, Indianapolis.)
